Fall Fair News

Plans for St. James 1st Annual Fall Fair are well underway! The event will include a Craft Fair, with multiple crafters and vendors exhibiting their wares, a Baked Goods Sale showcasing delectables from our own talented bakers, a Raffle Table of awesome items, and a Luncheon/ Cafe, where shoppers can "grab a coffee", "just a bite", or make a selection from our luncheon menu, with desserts available by the slice. We are also hoping to have a visit from the Farmington Farm Truck (fresh local produce ... maybe a few pumpkins?), and perhaps offer some colorful Mums for sale, as well. It's shaping up to be a really fun day!

Leadership is in place for the following key areas: Crafter Liaison: Dee Vincenzo,  Building Set-Up: Mark Dudzik, Kitchen/Cafe: Ev Lyons, Raffle: Sheila Church, Bake Sale: Armen Slusarz. Publicity: Donna Paye & Julia Grieco, Clean-Up: Chandler Howard.

But with the Fair fast approaching, we need your assistance There is much to do! Whether it's preparing the building for the crafters’ arrival, lending a hand in the kitchen/cafe, baking, working at the bake sale table, donating items for our raffle, or putting things back in place afterwards, we all have a part to play!

Please take a moment, consider what you can do to help, and then approach one of the area leaders with your offer to assist them. We'd really appreciate it!

* At this time, we need donations of the following:

  1. 1.   Raffle Items: Please contact Sheila Church for ideas, and to let her know what you are donating. Sheila needs to do some advance work on the raffle items, so let her know what you intend to donate by Sunday, September 24. She needs to receive your item by Sunday, October 1.
  2. 2.   Cakes and Pies for the Cafe: These should be homemade, or a good bakery–made item. To be sold by the slice. Please contact Donna Paye.
  3.  Baked Goods: To be sold in the Bake Sale. Bars, Cookies, breads, cakes, pies, fudge, snacks, etc.! Contact Armen Slusarz
